The others supports are for the captain and first officer control panels and for the NAV panels.

Les autres supports concernent les panneaux de controles des pilotes et les instruments NAV.

BOEING 747 CENTRAL SUPPORT / LA CONSOLE CENTRALE

Un nouvel élément capital qui me permettra de
placer le pilote automatique,le panneau moteur
et la commande du train d'atterrissage.

A capital part,the central support which will allow
me to have the automatic pilot,the engines controls and the landing gear fixed.

The glareshield had to be cut in two parts to reduce shipping cost.

A hard decision but a financial necessity !

Le panneau a du etre coupe en deux pour reduire les frais de port.

Une décision difficile mais obligatoire financièrement !

A new dimension for the cockpit: the glareshield and the two pilots yokes.

A very strong feeling,holding for the second time (the first one was when

visiting a real 747 cockpit,back from holidays in Florida)...a 747 yoke.

Une nouvelle dimension pour le cockpit: le panneau superieur de protection

et les 2 manches à balai.

Intense émotion que de tenir pour la seconde fois un manche à balai de 747.

La première fois remont à plus de 20 ans lors d'un voyage retour en Floride.

At last,coming to me, a boeing 747 throttle quadrant.One of the most fantastic part from the cockpit.I will have now to complete some missing radio panels.
Enfin venue,une des parties les plus fascinantes du cockpit: la console manettes du boeing 747.
Il me faudra compléter les éléments radio manquants.

THE RIGHT TIME / LE BON MOMENT

Early this year,I had the opportunity to make a deal with my long time 747 cockpit's friend: Alkit.His own cockpit was now completed and he was ready to sell parts from it for a new project he had in mind.

The first lot was "the long time wished" throttle quadrant and overhead panel.A huge parcel...but a Christmas parcel for me !!

En début d'année j'ai eu la possibilité de récupérer certaines parties du cokpit d'Alkit qui voulait s'orienter vers un autre projet.

Le premier colis contenait des pièces longtemps désirées: la console des manettes moteurs et le panneau supérieur de contrôle (qui se situe au dessus des pilotes).Un colis assez lourd mais un vrai colis de Noël pour moi !

ONE YEAR LATER.../ UN AN PLUS TARD...

I cannot believe that my last post with photos was one year ago...a long time isn'it ?
Well this year I have move with my family to a new home,a larger one!That means many different things to do...and no more time for my cockpit project !
But the good news for my cockpit are that I have now a space for it and NEW PARTS to complete it...
It's time to go back to business !
Je n'imaginais pas que mon dernier post avec photos datait d'il y a un an...déjà!
Cette année a été consacré à notre déménagement dans une maison plus grande avec toutes les ocupations que cela entraine.Du coup,moins de temps pour mon projet.
Mais les bonnes nouvelles sont que j'ai désormais un espace consacré et de nouvelles parties pour mon cockpit.
Il est temps de se remettre au boulot !

Thank you to everyone for your support and questions.Very long time since my last post on this blog...but a main thing is about to change my life in the next weeks and at the same time it will give my cockpit project a new dimension.Be patient and see you soon.
