...and how it looks when repainted ! I was unable to find the correct boeing cockpit color.
The paint used is clearer than the original.As I wanted to keep the original inscriptions,you will notice at the bottom of the panel that I have to mask them before painting,and that causes a color difference between the old and the new one!

Il m'a été impossible de trouver la même couleur de cockpit que Boeing.Celle que j'ai utilisé est plus claire que l'original.Du coup la différence est visible lorsque j'ai masqué les inscriptions originelles du panneau et que j'ai peint autour (voir en bas du panneau) !

Each screw from instrument supports needed some new black paint...

Each advisory lights from annunciator panel has to be removed.

I started with the central engine panel.The glass part from each instrument had to be masked for painting.

THE RESTORATION BEGINS ! / LA RESTAURATION DEBUTE

From the the first day when I received the panels,I had in mind to restore them.If you look carrefully the first pictures,you will notice that the three panels had many time marks.
The main problem was to find the correct color paint.Then I have to remove all screws and instruments.

Dès la réception des panneaux,je savais qu'il me faudrait les restorer car plusieurs marques d'usure étaient visibles.Le problème était de trouver la bonne teinte de peinture et le temps nécessaire de retirer toutes les vis et les instruments.

After many weeks without any new item,I have had the opportunity (thank again Alkit) to get this overhead panel...from france.

Après plusieurs semaines creuses,j'ai pu trouver (en France !) un nouvel objet pour mon cockpit (une fois de plus grace à Alkit qui m'a prévenu). Il s'agit d'un panneau supérieur qui se situe entre les pilotes et le mécanicien navigant.
